Learn how to work successfully with at-risk students by attending a unique, hands-on, workshop offered by the staff at Dane County Transition Schools.

Taste, touch and feel an environment that works successfully with at-risk students!

Workshop participants will:

  • Experience an introductory placement meeting
  • Sign up for and attend Interest Groups
  • Create and design their own Interest Groups
  • Discuss discipline scenarios and effective procedures
  • Complete Report Summaries, Grids, Portfolio activity, and discuss conversion from Interest Group to credits
  • Review School Policies-Personal Learning Opportunity Plan, Transition Plan, and Policy Book

  Mentoring is available after the workshop via phone, email, or in person upon request.

Workshops can be arranged for a specific group of educators upon request. Cost varies based on the number of participants and length of workshop.
